Projects

The Canberra region's biggest building projects have trusted D&H to build and landscape. Here is a selection of our work.

Fully Equipped

D&H has one of the largest fleet of machinery in the industry with excavators from 3 ton to 35 ton and everything in between.

Theodore Reservoir

D&H was responsible for the construction of an access road up to the Reservoir. This was a complex construction with the gradient of road and drains.

National Portrait Gallery

Work carried out included bulk and detailed excavation of around 50000m³ along with the Installation of Piers, Shot Crete Walls and Capping Beam for the building.

Police Memorial

D&H constructed all access roads and paths as well as all civil and drainage works to the Police Memorial structure.

Mouat Street

Dickson and Lyneham were connected by construction of an asphalt footpath.

Menzies Walk Bridge

All Earthworks requirements; the supply and installation of the bridge. Being over water made this project quite complex. D&H delivered all earthworks to the Lake edge footpath from Commonwealth Ave Bridge to Kings Ave Bridge.

Mawson Shops

The upgrade to the Mawson shopping centre included civil, soft and hard landscaping installation of signage and realignment of the car park.

Manuka Shopping Centre

Paving and landscaping to Franklin Street Manuka was complemented by the construction of a new side Street.

Majura Parkway

Working with Fulton Hogan to assist in the construction of the Majura Parkway, D&H supplied all excavators, dozers, bobcats, rollers, graders, trucks and drainers. as well as manual labour.

Googong Dam

D&H was a major Sub-Contractor to the “Cotter - Googong Dam Joint Venture”. The D&H team was involved in all aspects of the project including excavation to the abutments, building access roads, coffer dams and so on.

Equinox Business Park

The bulk and detailed excavation included removing 45000m³ of material from the building site on Kent Street in Deakin.

Duntroon

The Parade Ground as it is today doesn’t really reflect the extent of the work carried out in order to remove asbestos that was underneath the surface. After removing 2000 ton from the site D&H recreated the Parade Ground to become the masterpiece it is today.

Fully Equipped

A WORD FROM TERRY CAMPESE

‘I’ve been privileged to play footy at the top level and I’ve always had tremendous support and that really means a lot to me. Having had plenty of time to think while on the injury list, I decided it was time to give something back. Dale and Hitchcock has supported me since the Foundation first began to say they’ve gone beyond all expectations is an understatement.

Even though I’ll be in the UK for the next couple of years The TCF will continue with the support of organisations such as Dale and Hitchcock.

I have a particular interest in helping young people who need help in Queanbeyan, Canberra and Southern NSW and will hopefully have more time to personally give in years to come. The Foundation’s co-director Pamela Slocum (0411 75 9989) will run the Foundation in my absence. To all of you at Dale and Hitchcock who continue to support The Foundation I thank you most sincerely, I am really very grateful and with your continued support we will help many more people in need.’
